This blog will look through the informative aspects of breast augmentation that is important for any woman to know before deciding to go through this type of surgery.

The Consultation

It is quite necessary to consult your physician before going through the surgery. It is your right to ask the surgeon his/ her expertise and important information regarding the process. Additionally, you should read the FDA guidelines for the surgical process. The First Division Association or FDA has set forth important guidelines for surgical processes that is a must read for all patients.

Your surgeon should be able to answer all your questions asked in accordance with the FDA guidelines. Some important questions that you should ask may be:

  • The cost of the entire augmentation process
  • Hazards in case the process goes wrong
  • Dos and don’ts during and after the process
  • Caution after the implants
  • Diet, medication and exercises if any

One thing you must do is to let the surgeon know if you ever suffered from any type of medical condition or allergy in recent years. If this is the case, let your surgeon know about it beforehand so that no complications may arise after the surgical process.

The Process

Immediately before the process, the surgeon will examine your breasts by a mammogram to analyze any internal abnormalities. If any there are noticeable anomalies, it is likely that your surgeon will not conduct the procedure. Secondly, your surgeon will take sample tissues from your breast to examine their present state.

After the Process

After the process is completed, your surgeon will tell you the usual go through things, complications and advises to avoid any post surgical hazards.
